Ummm...well, I squeaked thru Algebra 1..stopped dead on the second lesson of Geomatry. So we skipped that section and now I'm doing Polynomials, which are okay.
History is cool, I'm studying the middle ages. Science is fun, I'm on the section about water. Grammer is hard but okay.

Well...a Qaurter, 25 cents, IS a Quarter of a dollar, 100 cents. I don't know about the others, though. Maybe it just plain saves breath to say 'Nickel.' rather than 'Five cents.' Mmmm...today in history I learned that the missionary Augustine, later, of course to become SAINT Augustine, was sent to England in 4(97?) A.D. to spread Christianity. See, the Saxons, being a rotten people, and the Angles, took over what is now England. (That's how we got ENGLAND. Angleland, that was what it was called.) The Saxons had been called to protect the vulnerable Celts, since the Romans had left to protect Rome, (It was the fall of Rome at that time) but hwen they got there and saw how vulnerable the Celts were, they sent word back, and the Saxons came with the Angles and TOOK OVER. So, anyhoo, legend has it that Pope Gregory, who was also a monk, I think, was passing a slave platform and was amazed at the light hair and fair complexion of a couple of the boys. (See, the Greeks and Italians were dark hair/skinned) They had been captured from England. He asked them who they were and they answered "Angles." "No," He replied, "You are angels." WHen he heard Englan was heathen, he sent the missionary Augustine to go. Now, the most powerful king at that time was king Ethelbert. HE wasn;'t a Christian at that time, but he was married to a Frankish princess who WAS, so he gave Augustine permission to spread Christianity over his kingdom. By and by, he became a Christian too, and enough people were converted and baptised for Englan to become a Christian nation. And here I was going to prove to you guys how much trouble I have retaining info on my history...Seriously, I did that without notes. Cool!
